Hey, I’m Ester Dus, Director and Motion Designer at Device, a Barcelona-based animation studio known for its multi-style approach and storytelling.
In my role, at Device I'm responsible for overseeing the creative process and leading our talented team.





OUTSIDE THE STUDIO

 While I dedicate most of my time and creative energy to leading projects at Device, I occasionally take on freelance roles. These opportunities allow me to explore different aspects of motion graphics and animation keping my technical knowledge and explorations up-to-date.

My personal projects often delve into the duality of fragility and strength through loop animations. I aim to balance simplicity with complexity, and my work in After Effects frequently features handcrafted details that blend the analog with the digital.

In my approach to directing, I start with broad concepts and refine them into storyboards. My background in advertising agencies has sharpened my ability to anticipate client feedback while preserving creativity.

My career is marked by a dedication to visual storytelling and aesthetic refinement, demonstrating my capacity to respect and enhance the existing design work within a studio environment.
